Cobalt Dev Video no 2
October 29th, 2010, Cobalt, DaisyMoon, Game Development, IGFWell hello! It’s time for another dev video!
A lot of people commented that they couldn’t really see what was going on in the teaser, so we thought it might be nice to really introduce Cobalt in this video.
For people who’ve played a lot of platformers before it might be a bit too detailed, but hopefully you can get a feel for the awesome platform flow we’re striving for.
Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

Man, game looks great. I wanted to see more of this after I saw the trailer, because I couldn’t really see what was happening, but it still looked cool. I love the wide range of movement you have – sliding, running, rolling, wall climb, multi-jump – and the game looks like it could be really cool. Keep up the good work!

Great stuff; very smooth animation and game design. The hacking feature especially looks like it could put a whole other game dynamic into the mix. Keep it up…just subscribed to your blog!

Oh, sorry. Forget my modals. *cough* Ahem… hi there, misters! I wish I could play this “osom” game right now, but I know is still being developed and polished. From what I can see, you guys are doing a great job with Cobalt. Nice 2D graphics, nice gameplay, nice (i hope) music, uber pwnz editor (I actually shat mah pants watching it) and so on. The whole thingy is full of great freatures. Best wishes from a user who follows your awesome work.
See ya!
PD: Teh Editor makes the game with a so replay-value, that people gonna get crazy and sleepless and everyone gonna get killed herself making maps luls

I watch the videos again and again and they become more awesome everytime i see them .
But one question: Is the slow motion automatically, or do you have control over it?

It is automatic and happens whenever there are dangerous projectiles close to you.
